The Latest Addition to Calgary’s Skyline

Overview

The HAT on 14th is a 28-story luxury apartment building in Calgary’s Beltline, developed by CIDEX Group. As one of the newest additions to the city skyline, it brings modern, open-concept rental living to one of Calgary’s most vibrant urban neighborhoods. With floor-to-ceiling windows, sleek interiors, and incredible downtown views, The HAT on 14th is more than just a place to live, it’s a lifestyle.

My Role

As a Lead Designer, I led the creative direction across web, social, and marketing. I worked closely with the CIDEX team to make sure every touchpoint from the website to print materials felt cohesive, intentional, and on brand. I developed the visual strategy and executed all key deliverables.

Challenge

The goal was to create a brand that felt modern, energetic, and memorable something that would resonate with a wide range of renters, especially working professionals seeking high-rise living with personality. The HAT on 14th needed to stand out in Calgary’s competitive downtown rental market, while still feeling connected to the HAT brand family.

Approach & Deliverables

We took a bold, eclectic approach to the visual direction, with clean line patterns, fun geometric shapes, and a signature pop of neon green that gave the brand its character. We aimed for something that felt modern and stylish, while capturing the Beltline’s vibrant culture and energy.

  • Website Design: A simple, conversion-focused site that highlights suites, amenities, and floorplans while staying true to the brand and easy to use.

  • Social Media Marketing: Pre-launch and launch-phase content designed to build excitement and give future renters a sense of life at The HAT.

  • Lease-Up Materials: Brochures, signage, and floor plan sheets featuring bold layouts and clean typography to support in-person tours.

  • Space Design: Wall art, exterior decals, and building signage that extended the brand into the physical environment
